If you are here because you too have lost a child,
we're deeply sorry and share your pain.
Know that you are never alone. 1 in 4 women experience
a loss through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss.
Laken's Bears was inspired by the loss of our daughter
Laken Taylor Johnson. Laken was born extremely premature
at 22 weeks and 4 days on April 8, 2010 at
12:09 p.m. weighing a very tiny 12 oz and 11
inches long.
After months of grieving and looking for support and resources
on our own, we found that giving back help heal our
hearts the most. We received a tiny empty memory box
when Laken was born.
We walked out of the hospital with very few items to remember
her by. We didn't want this for other families. We wanted to
help in some way. It was then February 28th of 2011
that Laken's Bears was created.
Our goal is to help keep families from leaving the hospital
empty handed and to help comfort families while making
those tough decisions at the funeral home by receiving
one of our Comfort Bags full of items to
remember their tiny someone by.

We run completely on donations
and without donations we wouldn't be possible.
Thank you to all of our supporters and vendors who
help keep us going!

"I just wanted to say thank you, I lost my angel Noah and received a memory box, and inside was a gorgeous laken bear, I'm so grateful, many nights I have felt lost and down and questioning, and your bear has given me so much comfort, your an amazing strong person for what you do and what you have been through, losing your angel and you still go on and make other angel parents feel that little bit better.so from the bottom of my heart thank you Xx"

"I just wanted to stop by and say a personal "thank you" for the special little "Precious Moments" penny poem that was included among the Tayler's Treasures memory box that I just received!! It means the world to me that people like you are thinking of other moms of angel babies like me. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!! ♥"

"Hi hun, words cannot express all of the emotions I felt when I received your beautiful comfort package. From the cap, blanket, and of course Laken's bear, I truly felt comforted. I could feel the love that was put into each and every item. I especially felt that my precious Paige was remembered when I saw the "Certificate of Life". Unfortunately, many friends and family members do not see the loss of my precious baby as just that. Thank you again so VERY much."

"If you know someone who has lost a child, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died--you're not reminding them. They didn't forget they died. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that is a great gift."
-Elizabeth Edwards

"At some point, it becomes bearable. It turns into something that you can crawl out from under and... carry around like a brick in your pocket. And you... you even forget it, for a while. But then you reach in for whatever reason and - there it is. Oh right, that. Which could be aweful - not all the time. It's kinda... not that you'd like it exactly, but it's what you've got instead of your son. So, you carry it around. And uh... it doesn't go away. Which is... Fine, actually.

"When a child loses his parent, they are called an orphan. When a spouse loses her or his partner, they are called a widow or widower. When parents lose their child, there isn't a word to describe them. This month (October) recognizes the loss so many parents experience across the United States and around the world. It is also meant to inform and provide resources for parents who have lost children due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, stillbirths, birth defects, SIDS, and other causes."
-Ronald Reagan
